Camp Sagmount is operated by a group of independent Baptist pastors from Missouri and Kansas. They work together to improve the properties of the camp, to promote the unity of purpose and to assist churches and groups who rent to the camp. The camp is supported by like-minded Baptist churches and rental fees.

The camp is able to house over four hundred campers, with air-conditioned dorms, kitchen and meeting areas. The tabernacle opened air and will be closed in for the 2013 camping season. Each year improvements are made to the camp and our goal is make our camp first rate, yet affordable. The camp has two softball fields, two volleyball courts, a basketball court, two lakes with canoes and fishing, a very large swimming pools, cave and much more to offer. In the spring of 2012 a Zip Line with added to the camp.

The camp is rented for summer youth camps, weekend retreats, men's and women retreats, sports camps, weddings, family reunions, family retreats, gospel meetings, home-school retreats, fellowship meetings, church outings, youth rallies, birthday parties, fall and winter retreats and many others events.

The camp's full-time property manage Chet Wampler has been employed at camp for 10 years. For new groups interested in renting the camp, Chet is aviable to show the campgrounds to you. He can be reached at 417-499-5519.
